Alexander Doinikov was born on September 9, 1961, in Minsk, Belarus. He received a Ph.D. degree in theoretical physics, Belarus State University, Minsk, Belarus, in 1990; and a D.S. degree (advanced scientific degree conferred in Belarus), National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Minsk, Belarus, in 1997. Since 2009, Doinikov works as a Senior Researcher, INSERM U930, Université François Rabelais, Tours, France; from 1998 to 2009, he worked as a Principal Researcher (Research Professor), Belarus State University, Minsk, Belarus; from 1991 to 1998, he works as a Senior Researcher, Belarus State University, Minsk, Belarus; from 1989 to 1991 he served as a Junior Researcher, Institute of Applied Physics Problems, Minsk, Belarus; and from 1983 to 1989 he was a Research Engineer, Institute of Applied Physics Problems, Minsk, Belarus. His areas of expertise include nonlinear acoustics, bubble dynamics, fluid dynamics, and medical ultrasonics.
