Fernando M. Reis

Fernando M. Reis was born in Diamantina, Minas Gerais, Brazil, in 1968. He received his Medical degree from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG) at Belo Horizonte in 1991, completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology in 1994, and received his Ph.D. degree from Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) in 1998. After a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Udine, Italy, he returned to UFMG as a Junior Scientist and joined its academic faculty in obstetrics and gynecology in 2003. His research interests are ovarian proteins and peptides and paracrine regulation of the endometrium. Reis is a Regular Member of the Society for Gynecologic Investigation.
