Karen Egiazarian

Karen Egiazarian was born in Yerevan, Armenia, in 1959. He received the M.S. degree in mathematics from Yerevan State University in 1981, the Ph.D. degree in physics and mathematics from Moscow State University, Moscow, Russia, in 1986, and the D.Tech. degree from the Tampere University of Technology (TUT), Tampere, Finland, in 1994. He was a Senior Researcher with the Department of Digital Signal Processing, Institute of Information Problems and Automation, National Academy of Sciences of Armenia until 1993. Since 1996, he has been an Assistant Professor with the Institute of Signal Processing, Tampere University of Technology, where from 2000 he is a Professor, leading the Transforms and Spectral Methods Group. He has published three books and more than 400 papers. His research interests are in the areas of signal processing and digital logic.
