Qingming Huang

Prof. Qingming Huang graduated with a Ph.D. degree in Computer Engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology, China in 1994. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow in the National University of Singapore from 1995 to 1996, and served as a member, research staff in the Institute for Infocomm Research, Singapore from 1996 to 2002. He also visited the University of Toronto as a research fellow in 2000. He joined the Graduate University, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) as a professor under the Science100 Talent Plan in 2003, and has been granted by China National Funds for Distinguished Young Scientists. His research area includes multimedia video analysis, video coding and adaptation, pattern recognition and computer vision. He has published more than 150 academic papers in top-level international journals and conferences, and granted/filed more than 18 patents in US, Singapore and China. He is the reviewer of various international journals including IEEE Trans. on Multimedia, IEEE Trans. on CSVT, Pattern Recognition, CVIU, etc, and served as TPC members in more than 10 well-known international conferences including ACM Multimedia, ICCV, CVPR, ICME, etc.
