Justes Eric, 46 yr-old (born in 1965), married, 3 boys. Currently Research Engineer at INRA UMR AGIR Toulouse (PhD in 1993, HDR, i.e. senior scientist, in 2005). Researcher in agronomy specialist of i) soil and plant interactions according to N cycles, ii) soil N mineralization and nitrate leaching, iii) working on low input cropping systems based on legumes and intercrops, iv) contribution to the STICS soil-crop model (Brisson et al., 2002; 2003) and LIXIM calculation model (Mary et al., 1999). Currently Head of the VASCO research team of UMR AGIR since January 2009 15 researchers, teacher-researchers and engineers). PhD-thesis supervisor. Regular reviewer for international journals. Coordinator or workpackage leader of different French projects, e.g. i) workpackage leader of ANR project: “PERFCOM: Performing Plant Communities in low input agriculture - Multitrophic Interactions and Intergenotypic Facilitation” (2008-2012); ii) Coordinator of ANR project: “MicMac-Design: Modelling for Integrated Crop Management in low input farming, Assessment and Cropping system Design” (2010-2014). Coordinator of a proposal for a EU project “Cover crop Design”, submitted 25/01/2011, 11 partners from 8 EU countries, grants of 3 M€. Call KBBE.2011.1.2-03: Development of cover crop and mulch systems for sustainable crop production (not funded). Scientific responsible for a collective INRA expertise dealing with “Gestion de l’azote en interculture” at the request of the French Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Environment (2010-2011). Publications: currently H-index = 15 (Web of Science, 15/02/2011); 35 papers published in peer-reviewed journals (2 papers with more than 150 citations, and 3 papers with more than 50 citations);11 book chapters, 20 oral communications and more than 30 papers in congress proceedings.
