Rais Ansari completed his Ph.D. degree at Kanpur University and conducted postdoctoral studies at University of Nebraska Medical Center, University of Pittsburgh, and Case Western Reserve University. Dr. Ansari was Researcher at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, Little Rock, AR, and New York Medical College, Valhalla, NY. Dr. Ansari has published more than 25 peer-reviewed articles in reputed journals and has contributed to text books. He has presented his work in several meetings of national and international repute. Dr. Ansari serves as Reviewer for several journals, the Editorial Board Member for many journals, and Executive Editor of Journal of Drug Metabolism and Toxicology. Presently, his research focus is on defining the role of environmental factors in regulation of human angiotensinogen gene. Dr. Ansari's lab employs molecular biology and biotechnology to decipher the role of transcription factors after exposure to environmental toxicants. The investigations involve gene regulation by protein-protein and protein-DNA interactions.
