Jesper Rasmussen achieved the Ph.D. degree in astrophysics from University of Copenhagen, Denmark, in 2004. Since 2010, Rasmussen has been serving as a Carlsberg Fellow at the Dark Cosmology Centre, University of Copenhagen. From 2005 to 2007, Rasmussen was an EU Marie Curie Fellow at University of Birmingham, UK. From 2007 to 2010, Rasmussen was a Chandra Fellow at Carnegie Observatories, USA. Rasmussen's research interests include Baryons and dark matter in groups and clusters of galaxies, environmental processes acting on galaxies, galaxy feedback and the intergalactic medium, formation and growth of spiral galaxies, and X-ray/optical/radio observations of galaxy systems.
