Wen-Sheng Chen

Wen-Sheng Chen was born in Hunan province, China, in 1967. He received his B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in mathematics from Sun Yet-Sen (Zhongshan) University, Guangzhou, China, in 1989 and 1998, respectively. He joined the College of Science, Shenzhen University, Shenzhen, China, in 1999. Chen serves currently as a Professor at the College of Mathematics and Computational Science, and the Head of Department of Information and Computational Science, Shenzhen University, Shenzhen, China. From 2008 to 2009, Chen was a Visiting Professor at the Department of Computer Science, Hong Kong Baptist University, Hong Kong, China. His major research interests include image processing and pattern recognition, kernel method, wavelet analysis, and its applications. Chen has published over 70 refereed scientific research articles in the international journals and international conferences in those areas.
