Linlin Shen received the Ph.D. degree from University of Nottingham, UK, in 2005, the B. Eng. and M. Eng. degrees in electronics engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China, in 1997 and 2000, respectively. He has been working as a Research Fellow at University of Nottingham from 2005 to 2006. Currently, he serves as an Associate Professor at the School of Computer Science and Software Engineering, Shenzhen University, China. His research interests include face recognition, fingerprint recognition, kernel methods, boosting algorithm, computer vision, and medical image processing.
