Amy L. Copeland
Amy L. Copeland is a clinical and medical psychologist. She presently works as an Associate Professor at the Department of Psychology, Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, La, USA. She obtained her Ph.D. degree in 1997 from Binghamton University, State University of New York, Binghamton, NY, USA. She subsequently completed her Clinical Internship and Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco, San Francisco, Calif, USA, with an emphasis on substance abuse and HIV within the Public Service and Minority Mental Health Division. Her current interests include the role of cognitive and affective variables throughout the clinical course of substance abuse disorders, smoking cessation/nicotine addiction, and brief motivational interventions for smoking and problematic alcohol use.
