Pino Caballero-Gil is a Full Professor of computer science and artificial intelligence at the University of La Laguna, Spain, where she leads the CryptULL research group on cryptology. Her major research interests are in secure mobile applications, stream ciphers, strong identification, cryptographic protocols, vehicular networks, and security in wireless networks. She received from the University of La Laguna her M.Sc. degree in mathematics in 1990 and her Ph.D. degree in computer science in 1995. She has received several research prizes, like the Canary Day Award for Young Researchers in 1998. She currently belongs to four international editorial boards of journals, has been guest editor of two special issues, and acts as referee of 30 ISI JCR journals. She has chaired 10 international conferences, one of which was the Financial Cryptography. Besides, she has served in the program committee of more than 120 conferences on security. She has authored 2 patents and over 270 publications in journals and conferences, 42 of them in ISI JCR journals. She has been the coordinator of many competitive funded research projects and is currently the principal investigator of 6 research projects on security, mobile cooperation, intelligent transportation system, mathematics, and computing.
