Paola Ulivi is a Researcher at the Istituto Scientifico Romagnolo (IRST), Meldola, Italy, since 2000. She received the degree cum laude in medical biotechnology from Bologna University, Bologna, Italy, in 2000. In 2006 she obtained the specialization cum laude in pharmacology from the Modena and Reggio Emilia University, Modena, Italy. In 2009 she received the degree cum laude in molecular and cellular biology from Bologna University. Now she is performing the Ph.D. in pharmacology at Bologna University. Dr. Ulivi is the referent of the diagnostic molecular activities at IRST and is scientifically responsible for several research projects in the field of noninvasive molecular diagnosis of lung cancer, search of molecular predictive markers to target therapy in lung cancer, colorectal cancer, melanoma, GIST, and search of prognostic markers in lung cancer. She also focused in the past years on the analysis of molecular mechanisms involved in the activity of several drugs and on in vitro models of different types of solid cancer. Dr. Ulivi is a Member of the International Association for the Study on Lung Cancer (IASLC).
