Phei-Lang Chang was born in Yunlin, Taiwan, in 1949. In 1974, he received his M.D. degree from Taipei Medical University. He serves as an Attending Surgeon of the Division of Urology, Department of Surgery, at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital since 1980. From 1992 to 2003, he was the Chief of the Division of Urology, Department of Surgery, at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital. He became Professor of Urology at Chang Gung University since 2003. He was the Chairman of the Department of Surgery at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital from 2003 to 2009. Also, he is the Director of Chang Gung Bioinformatics Center since 2003. He was the President of the Taiwan Association for Medical Informatics (TAMI) from 2003 to 2007. He is a Board Member of Taiwan Surgical Association since 2004. He is an Editorial Board Member of Journal of Andrology Archives, LUTS, Journal of TAMI, and Journal of Clinical Bioinformatics. He is interested in LUTS, bladder cancer, prostate cancer, clinical bioinformatics, and medical informatics.
