Daqing Cui

Daqing Cui is a docent and Ph.D. degree on Nuclear Environmental Chemistry and mainly works as project manager at Studsvik AB (Swedish nuclear research center) as a project manager and has concurrent positions at Stockholm University, Royal Institute of technology. Professor Cui read radiochemistry at Peking University, China (1978–1982), and got Ph.D. degree in nuclear chemistry at Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Sweden in 1996. He has worked as nuclear environmental chemist at different organizations in China, Sweden, Japan, and European commissions. Professor Cui is an Author or Coauthor of 22 scientific papers published in peer-reviewed international scientific journals, 36 papers in conference proceedings or ISSN registered reports and supervised several Ph.D. students and post doc. His major research interests include: (a) environmental chemistry of spent nuclear fuel and radionuclides at simulated repository conditions, (b) natural analogue research for geological disposal of high-level radioactive waste disposal, (c) R&D on materials that can be used to stabilize radioactive wastes, and (d) R&D on heat/corrosion/radiation resistant materials for generation VI reactors and ITER fusion reactor and low-cost high-performance catalyst for hydrogen production from nuclear power.
