Sanling Yuan works as a professor in the Department of Mathematics at University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, Shanghai, China. He received his Ph.D. degree in Applied Mathematics from Xi’an Jiaotong University, Xi’an, China, in 2002. He has ever worked as a Postdoc Fellow in Shanghai Jiaotong University, Shanghai, China and ever been to University of Swinburne for Technology, Melbourne, Australia and York University, Toronto, Canada as a Visiting Scholar. Dr Yuan is now a standing director of the Chinese Society for Mathematical Biology, He has published over 40 peer-reviewed journal publications. His current research interests mainly focus on two aspects: 1) Differential equations and Dynamical systems; 2) Mathematical modeling in Ecology and Epidemiology, including population dynamics and transmission dynamics of infectious diseases.
