Jozélio Freire De Carvalho
Jozélio Freire de Carvalho graduated in medicine, Bahia School of Medicine and Public Health, Nazaré, Brazil in 1997. He received his Postdoctoral from the Center for Autoimmune Diseases at the Sheba Medical Center, affiliated with the University of Tel-Aviv, Israel (2006 - 2007). He served as an Associate Professor at Department of Clinical Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, University of São Paulo, São Paulo, Brazil. He also worked as an Associate Professor from 2007 to 2011 in Rheumatology Division, Faculty of Medicine, University of São Paulo, São Paulo, Brazil. He held the position of Physician Assistant at Hospital of Medical College, USP from 2004 to 2011. He is a Member of the São Paulo Society of Rheumatology and the Brazilian Society of Rheumatology, Member of the Pan American League of Associations for Rheumatology and the Brazilian Association of Critical Care Medicine. Currently he works in the Rheumatology Department of Clinical Oncology (Clione), Salvador, Bahia. He has an experience in medicine with emphasis in rheumatology, acting on the following topics: antiphospholipid syndrome, lupus erythematosus, connective tissue diseases, rheumatic diseases of childhood and adolescence, autoimmunity, autoantibodies, dyslipidemia, and atherosclerosis.
