Benjaram M. Reddy

Benjaram M. Reddy is a versatile chemist with varied experience in catalysis, physical chemistry, organic chemistry, and materials science with special emphasis in the areas of nanomaterials and green technologies. He started his scientific research career in the year 1984 at the Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, Hyderabad, where he holds a Deputy Director position. He has been a visiting scientist or an award fellow at the Institute of Catalysis, Novosibrisk, Russia (1986-1987), Institute of Physical Chemistry, LMU, Munich, Germany (1988-1989 and 1998-1999), State University of New York, Buffalo, USA (1993-1994), Texas A&M University, College Station, USA (1994-1995), AIST, Osaka, Japan (2001), Institute for Research on Catalysis, Lyon, France (2001, 2003, and 2005), and Inha University, South Korea (2007-2008). Also he visited Italy, South Africa, and Hungary as Indian Delegate Member on science and technology activities. Dr. Reddy is the recipient of CSIR Young Scientist Award and Catalysis Society of India Young Scientist Award in addition to several other awards, fellowships, and honours. Dr. Reddy guided 18 Ph.D. students and 2 M.Tech. students for their degrees. He has more than 170 research publications in high-quality international and national journals and 10 patents to his credit.
