Minglun Gong

Minglun Gong is an Associate Professor at the Memorial University of Newfoundland, NF, Canada and an Adjunct Professor at the University of Alberta, AB, Canada. He obtained his Ph.D. degree from the University of Alberta in 2003, his M.S. from the Tsinghua University, Beijing, China in 1997, and his B.Eng. degree from the Harbin Engineering University, China in 1994. After graduation, he was a Faculty Member at the Laurentian University, ON, Canada for four years before joining the Memorial University. Minglun’s research interests include a variety of topics in computer graphics, computer vision, image processing, pattern recognition, and optimization techniques. He has published over 50 technical papers in refereed journals and conference proceedings and served as program committee member and reviewer for international journals and conferences.
