Ruck Thawonmas

Ruck Thawonmas received the B.Eng. degree in electrical engineering from the Chulalongkorn University, Thailand, in March 1987, the M.Eng. degree in information science from the Ibaraki University, Japan, in March 1990, and the D.Eng. degree in information engineering from the Tohoku University, Japan, in January 1994. Dr. Thawonmas has been a Professor in the Department of Human and Computer Intelligence, College of Science and Engineering, Ritsumeikan University, Japan, since April 2004. Prior to this, he worked at the following institutions in Japan: Hitachi Research Laboratory, Hitachi, Ltd.; Brain Science Institute, Riken; Department of Computer Hardware, University of Aizu; Department of Information Systems Engineering, Kochi University of Technology. His research interests include data mining, information visualization, artificial intelligence, and their applications to computer games or entertainment computing.
