Sergio Angel

Sergio Angel received his Ph.D. degree from the University of Buenos Aires, Buenos Aires, Argentina, and completed his postdoctoral position at Center of Molecular Biology “Severo Ochoa”, University of Madrid, Madrid, Spain. Dr. Angel serves as a Principal Researcher at National Council of Research, Argentina, Professor of Microbiology at the National University of General San Martin, Buenos Aires, Argentina, Head of the Molecular Parasitology Laboratory at the Institute for Research in Biotechnology‐Technological Institute of Chascomús (IIB‐INTECH), and Vice Director of the IIB‐INTECH. He is one of the leading researcher experts in the characterization and biological role studies of heat shock proteins of different protozoan parasites, specially the Apicomplexa Toxoplasma gondii.
