Luis Gimeno

Luis Gimeno received the Ph.D. degree in atmospheric physics from Complutense University, Madrid, in 1994. From 1991 to 1997, he worked for the Spanish Meteorological Institute. In 1997, he was appointed as a Professor of atmospheric physics, University of Vigo at Ourense, Spain. Dr. Gimeno is a Member of the American Geophysical Union, the European Geophysical Union, and the American Meteorological Society. He has been working on several aspects of climate diagnosis, mainly in troposphere-stratosphere coupling, climatic validation of synoptic conceptual models, and atmospheric moisture transport. Dr. Gimeno is author of more than 80 papers included in SCI journals. He has also served in the editorial board of multiple journals such as Meteorology and Atmospheric Physics, Pure and Applied Geophysics, or Critical Reviews in Environmental Science and Technology and he has coedited four special issues and two books
