Gloria Menegaz

Gloria Menegaz was born in Verbania, Italy.
She obtained the M.S. degree in electronic engineering
and the M.S. degree in information technology
from the Polytechnic University of
Milan in 1993 and 1995, respectively. In
2000, she got the Ph.D. degree in applied sciences
from the Signal Processing Institute
of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology
(EPFL). From 2000 to 2002 she was a Research
Associate at the Audiovisual Communications
Laboratory of EPFL, and from 2002 to 2004 she was an
Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science of the
University of Fribourg (Switzerland). From 2004 to 2007 she was with the Information
Engineering Department of the University
of Siena, Italy, as Adjunct
Professor thanks to a grant funded by the Italian Ministry
of University and Research (Rientro dei Cervelli).
Since October 2007 she is an Associate Professor at the Department of Computer Science
of the University of Verona, Italy.
Her research field is perception-based
image processing for multimedia applications. Among the
main themes are color perception and categorization, medical image
processing and perception, texture vision and modeling, and
multidimensional model-based coding.
