Martín Aznar

Martín Aznar was born in Buenos Aires (Argentina) in January 1966. He obtained a B.S. degree in chemical engineering at the National Engineering University (Nicaragua) in 1988, an M.S. degree in chemical engineering at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) in 1991, and a D.S. degree in chemical engineering at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) in 1996. Currently, he is an Associate Professor at the School of Chemical Engineering, University of Campinas - UNICAMP (Brazil), where he was the Vice Dean (2006–2010) and the Head of Graduate Studies (2004–2006, 2010–2012, and 2012–2014). His primary interest is phase equilibrium thermodynamics, a field where he has published more than 75 papers in indexed journals. His research focus within this field includes experimental and modeling of vapor-liquid and liquid-liquid equilibrium in complex systems involving ionic liquids, electrolytes, polymers, and biomolecules. He is a Fellow of the National Research and Development Council - CNPq (Brazil).
