Been-Lon Chen holds B.A. and M.A. degrees from National Taiwan University and a Ph.D. degree from the University of California at Los Angeles. He was a Fulbright Scholar (2007-2008) and has been listed in Who's Who in the World since 2005. He taught at Taiwan's National Central University and Japan's Tsukuba University. He was a Deputy Director at Institute of Economics, Academia Sinica. He is now a tenured Research Fellow at Academia Sinica, Professor at National Taiwan University, and Research Fellow at Japan's Research Institute for Economics and Business Administration. Chen's research is in economics growth, macroeconomics, and industrial economics. His publication appeared at Economic Theory, Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control, International Economics Review, and Journal of Money, Credit and Banking. He has published more than 50 articles in English journals and more than 10 articles in Chinese journals.
