Yun-Gang Liu received his Ph.D. degree in control theory and application from the Shanghai Jiaotong University, China in 2000. During 2001 and 2003, he worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science. Since 2003, he has been with the School of Control Sciences and Engineering, Shandong University, where he is now a Professor. He is the recipient of Guan Zhao-Zhi Award (the Best Paper Award of 2004 China Control Conference) and the Natural Science Foundation for Distinguished Young Scholar of Shandong Province of China. He is now the Associate Editor of Conference Editorial Board of IEEE Control Systems Society, and the Associate Editor of Acta Automatica Sinica. His current research interests are adaptive control, stochastic nonlinear systems, optimal control, and observer design.
