Ozgur Kisi has received his Ph.D. degree from Istanbul Technical University, Turkey. Currently, he is working as Professor in Canik Basari University. His research fields are developing novel algorithms and methods towards the innovative solution of hydrologic forecasting and modeling; suspended sediment modeling; forecasting and estimating hydrological variables such as precipitation, streamflow, evaporation, evapotranspiration, and lake level; hydroinformatics; and innovative trend analysis of hydrological variables. Based on this research he has received several awards and honors, such as 2006 International Tison Award (given by the International Association of Hydrological Sciences (IAHS), URL: http://iahs.info/About-IAHS/Competition--Events/Tison-Award/Tison-Award-winners/). He is participant in numerous national research projects and supervisor of several M.S. and Ph.D. Works. He is serving as an editorial member of several reputed journals like World Applied Sciences Journal (included in ISI database), The Open Hydrology and Irrigation and Drainage Systems Engineering & expert reviewers for more than 70 journals cited by Science Citation Index in the field of hydrology, irrigation, water resources, and hydroinformatics like Water Resources Research, Journal of Hydrology, Hydrological Processes, Water Resources Management, Hydrological Sciences Journal, Journal of Hydroinformatics, ASCE Journal of Irrigation and Drainage Engineering, and ASCE Journal of Hydrologic Engineering. He has authored more than 200 research articles. He is a Member of Turkish Academy of Science.
