Ozgur Kisi received the B.S. degree in engineering from the Department of Civil Engineering, Cukurova University, Turkey, in 1997, the M.S. degree from the Hydraulics Division, Institute of Science and Technology, Erciyes University, Turkey in 1999, and the Ph.D. degree in from the Hydraulics Division, Institute of Science and Technology, Istanbul Technical University, Turkey in 2003. Since 2011, he has been working as Professor and from 2003 to 2005 as an Asstistant Professor at Erciyes University. He was a Research Assistant at the Institute of Science and Technology from 1999 to 2003. His research fields include developing novel algorithms and methods towards the innovative solution of hydrologic forecasting and modeling, suspended sediment modeling, forecasting and estimating hydrological variables such as precipitation, streamflow, evaporation, evapotranspiration, and lake level, and hydroinformatics. He has been a participant in numerous national research projects and a Supervisor of several M.S. and Ph.D. works. He is the author of several peer-reviewed scientific publications, and he is in the editorial board of the World Applied Sciences Journal (included in ISI database), Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, and The Open Hydrology journal. He is a reviewer of several scientific journals cited by Science Citation Index in the fields of hydrology, irrigation, and water resources. He received in 2006 the International Tison Award by the International Association of Hydrological Sciences (IAHS).
