Nikos Nikolaidis received the Diploma of Electrical Engineering in 1991 and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering in 1997, both from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Thessaloniki, Greece. From 1998 to 2002, he was a Postdoctoral Researcher and Teaching Assistant at the Department of Informatics, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the same department. Dr. Nikolaidis participated in 19 European and national R&D projects and serves as a reviewer for a number of international scientific journals and conferences in his area of expertise. He is the coauthor of the book 3-D Image Processing Algorithms (Wiley, 2000). He has coauthored 15 book chapters, 34 journal papers, and 107 conference papers and coedited one book and two special issues. His research interests include computer graphics, image and video processing and analysis, copyright protection of multimedia, computer vision, and 3D image processing. Dr. Nikolaidis is a Senior Member of IEEE and is currently serving as Associate Editor for the EURASIP Journal on Image and Video Processing, the International Journal of Innovative Computing, Information and Control, the Innovative Computing, Information and Control Express Letters and the Journal of Information Hiding and Multimedia Signal Processing. He is also a Member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Multimedia Intelligence and Security.
