Peter J. Francis

Peter J. Francis is an ophthalmologist and retina specialist at Casey Eye Institute, Oregon Health and Science University, Portland, Oregon. He is the Codirector of both the Macular Degeneration Center and the Oregon Retinal Degeneration Center at the Casey Eye Institute, reflecting his particular clinical and research interests in age-related macular degeneration and inherited eye diseases. Francis undertook most of his medical training in UK including Moorfields Eye Hospital and the Institute of Ophthalmology and was a Faculty Member at St. Thomas’ Hospital London and Kings College London before accepting a position at the Casey Eye Institute in 2006. Moreover, he has been an author of more than sixty peer-reviewed publications and more than one hundred research presentations.
