Steven De Vleeschouwer

Steven De Vleeschouwer graduated with an M.D. degree in 1997 from the Faculty of Medicine, graduated as a neurosurgeon in 2004 in the Department of Neurosurgery (University Hospitals Leuven), and obtained his Ph.D. degree in 2005, all from KU Leuven, Leuven, Belgium. Vleeschouwer works as an Associate Professor in the Department of Neurosciences, KU Leuven, since 2006, and as a Staff Member in the Department of Neurosurgery, University Hospital Leuven, since 2005. His main professional interests include experimental and clinical neurooncological surgery, cancer immunotherapy strategies, awake surgery for eloquent brain locations, intraoperative neuromonitoring, skull base surgery, radiosurgery, and microvascular techniques. He serves as a reviewer for many international journals such as Expert Opinion on Investigational Drugs, European Journal of Neuroscience (EJN), and Journal of Cancer Therapeutics and Research
