Staley A. Brod
Staley A. Brod works as a Professor of neurology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston School of Medicine and a Member of The Multiple Sclerosis Research Group at UT-Houston. Dr. Brod is a Diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine and American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He trained in neurology at Yale and Neurology/Immunology at Harvard. He gained the National Multiple Sclerosis Society Barbara Jordan Research Award in 1995 and has received NIH funding for clinical trials in MS. Dr. Brod has published over 110 abstracts and papers regarding MS and animal models of autoimmune disease. His current research interests include the development of an effective oral medication for MS and other autoimmune diseases.
