Niels R. Jensen0000-0002-4691-9528
Niels R. Jensen was born on April 24, 1962 in Odder (Denmark). In 1992, he received his Ph.D. degree in atmospheric science from the University of Odense (Denmark) and EC-JRC, Ispra (Italy), followed by a postdoctoral at NOAA, Boulder (Co, USA) in 1993-1994. He was employed at the Climate Change Unit, Institute for Environment and Sustainability, JRC-Ispra, European Commission, from 1994 and onwards, as a Scientific Officer. Moreover, he participated in several international projects, for example, Biovoc, Radical, Domac, Osoa, Elcid, Ialsi, Eurochamp, Map, and Actris. He has been a (co)author of about 32 papers in per-reviewed journals and about 2 EUR reports. His fields of interests include online measurements in the gas phase and in the aerosol phase, both in laboratory (smog chamber simulation studies) and in the field (participation in field campaigns and participating in daily monitoring). The instrumentations of interest include gas-phase and particle-phase instrumentations for atmospheric investigations, for example, proton transfer reaction mass spectrometry (PTR-MS), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), and various instrumentations for online measurements.
