Gang Ren

Gang Ren received his Ph.D. degree in transportation planning and management from Southeast University, Nanjing, China, in April 2004. Since then, he has been working at the School of Transportation at the same university; now Ren serves as a Full Professor of transportation engineering. In 2011, he worked in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, University of Wisconsin-Madison, Madison, WI, USA, as a Visiting Scholar for one year. Dr. Ren's research interests include traffic behavior and safety analysis, emergency traffic management, and active transport optimization. He is the Principal Investigator of more than 10 research projects including three grants from the National Science Foundation of China (NSFC). He has published more than 50 peer-reviewed papers in academic journals and conferences.
