Kevin P. Rauch is a Research Faculty Member at the Department of Astronomy, University of Maryland, College Park, Md, USA. He received a Ph.D. degree in astronomy from the California Institute of Technology, Pasadena, Calif, USA, in 1995, specializing in theoretical astrophysics. His basic research interests include black hole physics, (active) galactic nuclei, gravitational lensing, numerical techniques, relativistic astrophysics, and celestial mechanics/stellar dynamics. He undertook postdoctoral studies at the Canadian Institute for Theoretical Astrophysics, Toronto, ON, Canada, and the Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, Md, USA, and has been working at the University of Maryland since 2001. Rauch is currently involved in the development of advanced radio instrumentation for the Combined Array for Research in Millimeter-wave Astronomy (CARMA).
