Jiecheng Chen

Jiecheng Chen received his Ph.D. degree in 1987 at the Hangzhou University, China. Then, he got a Lecturer position from 1987 to 1990, an Associate Professor position from 1990 to 1992, and a Full Professor position from 1992 till 2011 at the Department of Mathematics of Zhejiang University (or Hangzhou University in 1987-1998; the two universities were merged together in 1998). He also held positions of Vice Chair (1992-1999), Chair (1999-2002) of the Department of Mathematics, and Vice Dean (1999-2009) of the College of Sciences, Zhejiang University. Now, Chen is a distinguished Professor at the Zhejiang Normal University. His main research interests include harmonic analysis on Euclidean spaces and its applications to PDEs, Laplacian analysis on Manifolds, and Lie groups.
