User Biography : Prof Yunjiang Lou Dr. Lou received his B.S degree in Automation from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), (1997), M.E. degree in Control Theory and Control Engineering from USTC (2000), and Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), (2006). He is an associate professor with the School of Mechatronics Engineering and Automation. Dr. Lou is a senior member of IEEE. He served as paper reviewers for IEEE Trans. on Robotics, IEEE/ASME Trans. on Mechantronics, ICRA, IROS, etc. Since 2008, Dr. Lou has served as associate editors or program committee members for dozens of international academic conferences, e.g. WCICA’08,ICIA’09, IROS’09-11, ICRA’11, ROBIO’09-11.He was the secretary-general of 2011 IEEE International Conference on Robotices and Automation. Dr. Lou’s research interests include parallel/hybrid manipulators, quotient kinematic machines, optimal kinematic/dynamic design and Motion Control. He has published more than 50 peer-reviewed papers in major international journals or conferences and an English academic monograph, entitled Geometric Methods in Robotics and Mechanism Research. He owned 4 Chinese patents. He was nominated for the Best Paper Award in 2009 IEEE International Conference on Information and Automation (3/297).
