Felipe Jimenez obtained his B.S. degree in industrial engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM), his M.A. degree in physical science from the National University of Distance Education of Spain, and his Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering from the UPM in 2001, 2005, and 2006, respectively. Currently, he serves as an Associate Professor at the UPM and as the Head of the Intelligent Systems Unit of the University Institute for Automobile Research. He has been involved in several research projects and innovative education programs and has developed engineering studies for relevant national firms. His fields of interest are the automotive industry, vehicle safety, mechanical design, educational software, and the application of new educational approaches in university studies.
