Alessandra Conversi holds Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in oceanography, Scripps Institution of Oceanography, University of California, San Diego, Calif, USA, 1992; and Laurea degree in biological sciences, 110/110 cum Laude, University of Rome "La Sapienza", Rome, Italy, 1983. Dr. Conversi works as a Senior Researcher, Italian National Research Council (CNR), Institute of Marine Sciences. She also served as a Marie Curie Fellow at the Sir Alister Hardy Foundation for Ocean Science (SAHFOS), Plymouth, UK, from 2012 to 2014. Her areas of expertise include global change impacts on marine ecosystems (particularly atlantic ocean and Mediterranean sea), physical/biological interactions, bioclimate, zooplankton time series, and marine regime shifts. In addition, Dr. Conversi is also interested in marine policy related to global change.
