Ilke Sipahi, holding MD, FACC, and FESC degrees, works as an Associate Professor of Medicine at Acibadem Maslak Hospital in Istanbul, Turkey. He is also a Visiting Faculty Member at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH, USA, where he serves as a Visiting Attending Physician in the Heart Failure and Transplantation Service. He published more than 40 peer-reviewed articles on hypertension, coronary atherosclerosis, vascular remodeling, heart failure, and heart transplantation in top-tier medical journals, such as the New England Journal of Medicine and JAMA. He is perhaps most well known for his widely publicized 2010 Lancet Oncology publication, a meta-analysis about the risk of cancer associated with angiotensin-receptor blockers. He serves as a Peer Reviewer for over 20 medical journals, including the Lancet and Circulation, and serves on the editorial board of several national and international medical journals and newsletters.
