Qian Han

Qian Han serves as a Research Scientist at the Department of Biochemistry at Virginia Tech. He is recognized in the field of tryptophan metabolism, with implications in parasite-vector-host interaction. Qian received his B.V.S. degree from Beijing Agricultural University, Beijing, China. After graduation, he had taught parasitology in the Veterinary School of Beijing Agricultural University for more than ten years. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in biomedical sciences from China Agricultural University in 1997. He then received postdoctoral training in the Royal Danish Veterinary and Agricultural University, University of Illinois, and Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences. He has published more than 80 peer-reviewed papers and reviewed manuscripts for more than 15 journals in fields of biochemistry and parasitology
