Radu Danescu received his Dipl. Eng. (MSc equivalent) in 2002, and his PhD in Computer Science in 2009. He is currently a Senior Lecturer at the Computer Science Department of the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Since 2001, Radu was involved in multiple research projects, his main area of expertise being environment perception through stereovision, applied to Driving Assistance Systems. Radu's main work was focused on modeling and tracking relevant objects of the driving environment, such as lanes, moving obstacles, painted road objects.
