Hong Chae Park obtained his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees from Pusan National University, Pusan, South Korea, all in the field of ceramic science and engineering. After graduation, Professor Park was granted a KRF postdoctoral fellowship and worked in the University of Leeds (UK) for one year. After joining PNU in March 1988, Dr. Park visited the University of Bath (UK), Sophia University (Japan), Kyoto University (Japan), and Nagoya Institute of Technology (Japan) for a short research, respectively. Dr. Park’s research group focuses on the structural (including recycling of industrial waste matters) and bioceramic materials and published more than 150 papers in the refereed scientific press. Dr. Park received the Academic Prize (1993) and Technology Prize (2007) from the Korean Ceramic Society.
