Chengrong Lu was born in Anhui, China in 1963. He graduated from the Department of Biology, University of Anhui, Anhui, China, in 1986 and received an M.S. degree from the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China in 1991. In 2001, he received the Ph.D. degree from the Beijing Institute of Radiation Medicine, Beijing, China. The Ph.D. degree research is about function of Hepatopoietin (HPO)/augmenter of liver regeneration (ALR) and found signal transduction pathways involved in AP-1 activity regulated by HPO. Between 2003 and 2006, Dr. Lu worked in the University of Minnesota, Minn, USA as a Visiting Scholar and focused on effect of histones modification on cell function and signaling involved in cell transformation. In 2007, he began to work as a Director of the Aviation Medicine Research Lab/the Central lab of Research, General Hospital of Air Force, Beijing, China, and his research interests are focused now on regulation and function of histones modification in tumor cells and proteomics research regarding to clinical diseases.
