Hassan Alizadeh

Hassan Alizadeh was born in Tehran, Iran, in 1950. He received the B.S. degree in biology from the University of Tehran in 1970 and his Ph.D. degree from the University of Glasgow, Scotland, in 1982. From 1982 to 1984, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Agriculture in Maryland, USA. Between 1984 and 1990, Alizadeh was a Senior Research Associate at the Department of Physiology and Cell Biology University of Texas, Medical School, Houston, Tex, USA. Since 1990, he works as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Ophthalmology, the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, Tex, USA. His main research interest is immunity to parasitic disease, ocular tumor immunology, and metastasis. He is a Member of Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology. Alizadeh is a Principal Investigator on NIH Grant entitled Biology, Immunology & Therapy of Acanthamoeba keratitis.
