Enge Wang

Enge Wang received his Ph.D. degree in physics from Peking University in 1990. He spent one year at the Laboratoire d’Etude des Surface et Interfaces, CNRS, Bayonne, France, and four years at the University of Houston, Houston, Tex, USA, as a postdoctoral and a research staff. He also worked at the Institute of Physics, the Chinese Academy of Sciences(CAS), and the International Center for Quantum Structures (CAS). In 1995, he joined the Institute of Physics (CAS) as a Professor and later on became the Director. From 1995 to 2003, he was a Visiting Professor at the University of Oxford (UK), University of Texas (USA), University of Michigan (USA), University of Muenster (Germany), Technical University of Denmark (Denmark), Oak Ridge National Laboratory (USA), University of Genova (Italy), National University of Singapore, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, National University of Singapore, and Harvard University. He was a JSPS Professor at the Institute for Materials Research, Tohoku University, Miyagi, Japan (2001-2002). Moreover, he is an Adjunct Advisor at the International Center for Young Scientists (ICYS) and the National Institute for Materials Sciences (NIMS), Tsukuba, Japan, since 2004, and an Honor Professor of Hong Kong University since 2000.
