Alexander D. Dubonosov

Alexander D. Dubonosov holds a Ph.D. degree of chemical science. He is a Full Member of the Russian Academy of Natural Science, Russia. D. Dubonosov was born on 07.07.1954, in Rostov-on-Don, Russia. In 1977, he graduated with excellence from the Chemical Department of Rostov state university. In the same year, he entered the postgraduate course and in 1985 defended his candidate dissertation on subject: Tautomerism and photoisomerization of benzoannulated five-membered heterocycles containing intracyclic aminoen(diene) fragments. In 2004, he defended his Ph.D. dissertation on topic: Inverse photochromic systems based on ketoenamine and norbornadiene derivatives. Since 2004, he has been working in the Southern scientific centre of Russian academy of sciences as a Chief Research Scientist of the Department of Physical and Organic Chemistry and Head of the group of chemosensorics. The main area of his scientific interest is chemosensor and photochromic organic compounds. Dubonosov is an author and co-author of more than 290 scientific publications, including four monographs, nine scientific reviews, and seven patents. Dubonosov was awarded by Certificate of Merit of RAS Presidium (N 10105-75). He is a Member of Mendeleev Russian Chemical Society (1977) and of American Chemical Society (2011).
