Denizar Cruz Martins

Denizar Cruz Martins was born in São Paulo, Brazil, on 24 April, 1955. He received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering from Federal University of Santa Catarina, Florianópolis, SC, Brazil, in 1978 and 1981, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the Polytechnic National Institute of Toulouse, Toulouse, France, in 1986. He has more than 250 papers published in the area of power electronics and electrical energy processing. He has published two books in power electronics. He is currently a Titular Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering in Federal University of Santa Catarina, Florianópolis, SC, Brazil. His research interests include dc-dc and dc-ac converters, high frequency, soft commutation, power factor correction, power quality, electrical energy processing, and grid connected PV systems.
