Silvia Galleti received a Laurea in astronomy from the University of Bologna on the variability of the hot subdwarf stars (1998) and a Ph.D. degree in astronomy from the same university in globular cluster systems in nearby spiral galaxies in particular M31 and NGC253 (2006). From 2006, she has been a Post-doc Fellow at INAF-Osservatorio Astronomico di Bologna (INAF). She has been working at the Loiano observatory since 2006 as Support Astronomer for service observing, outreach, and for educational events. She is a Teaching Assistant at the Bologna University since 2007. She has been a Member of the Gaia Data Processing and Analysis Consortium (CU5: absolute flux calib.; DU13) since 2012. Galleti is mainly interested in galaxy formation and evolution, extragalactic globular cluster systems, resolved stellar populations in nearby galaxies and star clusters.
