Li-Hsing Yen received his B.S. (1989), M.S. (1991), and Ph.D. (1997) degrees in computer science, all from the National Chiao Tung University, Hsinchu, Taiwan. He worked as an Assistant Professor (from 1998 to 2003) and then an Associate Professor (from 2003 to 2006) in the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering, Chung Hua University, Hsinchu, Taiwan. He was also an Associate Professor (from 2006 to 2010) and has been elevated to a Full Professor (since 2010) in the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering, the National University of Kaohsiung, Kaohsiung, Taiwan. His current research interests include mobile computing, wireless networking, and distributed algorithms. Yen has won IEEE WCNC 2013 Best Paper Award. He has served on the Editorial Board of Springer Wireless Networks. Yen is a Member of IEEE.
