Gian Gaetano Ferri
Gian Gaetano Ferri was born in Bologna, Italy, in 1965. He received the B.S. degree (cum laude) from the Bologna University, Bologna, Italy, in 1992. He graduated (cum laude) in otorhinolaryngology from the Bologna University in 1996. Since 1998, Ferri has been an Assistant Professor at the Department of Specialist Surgical and Anesthesiological Sciences, Bologna University. Since 1999, he has been working as Otorhinolaryngologist at the S Orsola-Malpighi University Hospital, Bologna, Italy. He is a Professor at the Postgraduate School of Otorhinolaryngology, the Postgraduate School of Audiology and Phoniatrics, and the University School of Science in Nursing, all in Bologna, Italy. Ferri’s scientific activity is documented by many publications, most of them focused on audiological and otological topics. In fact, he is mainly interested in vestibular schwannomas, facial nerve paresis, intraoperative monitoring, otoacoustic emissions, inner ear pathologies, and possible links with internal medicine diseases. Ferri is a Member of the Italian Society of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery and of the Italian Society of Audiology and Phoniatrics. He is a Member of the Editorial Board of ISRN Otolaryngology. He is a Reviewer of the following journals: Neurosurgery, Medical Hypotheses, International Journal of Audiology, and ISRN Otolaryngology.
