Professor and head of the Bioanalytics group at Dept. MIcro and Nanotechnology, Technical University of Denmark, since 2007, following a previous academic career at Dept. Anal. Chem. at Lund University, Sweden. She has coordinated 5 EU projects, currently leading EXCELL with ten partners (www.excell.nu). She is internationally recognised in the field of electrochemical biosensors and microchip based biological systems, with over 100 publications in peer reviewed journals (H-index 28). Her Key research topics are: (1) Development of micro- and nanosensing tools in general for bioanalytical chemistry and bioelectrochemistry applications, based on microfluidic systems and 2D/3D micro- and nanoelectrode structures. (2) Integrated microfluidic- and sensor array systems for development of bioassays and biosensors based on immobilised enzymes, antibodies, cells or tissues for real-time dynamic monitoring of intra and extracellular cellular events to gain insight into biological processes at cell level. (3) Bioelectrochemistry and bioanalytical chemistry application areas.
